About us
Nu-Sons Electric, Inc. is a locally-owned and operated electrical contracting company with two locations in Southwest Florida Naples and North Port. Through the years, we’ve grown from a small father-son business to a team of 50 plus employees specializing in commercial electrical construction and maintenance. We are a trusted Electrical contractor in Naples, North Port, and the surrounding areas.
Our Story
Although Nu-Sons Electric has been in Florida for more than 30 years, the business got its start in New York. Marvin Nusz and his son, Doug,started Nu-Sons Electric in 1974. Marvin was an electrical instructor for an apprenticeship program in NY. Doug began his career as an electrician at the age of 14 and has been continually growing his skills ever since. When Marvin and Doug moved to Florida in 1980, Doug completed and received his State Unlimited License. Meanwhile, Marvin co-founded the local apprenticeship for Collier County: The Independent Electrical Contractors School at Lorenzo Walker Vocational School. Employees at Nu-Sons Electric can attend an apprenticeship program as a paid benefit to pursue their continuing education in the field.Since taking over, Doug has expanded Nu-Son’s Electric to a second location with a service area covering Naples, Ft. Myers, Sanibel, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Venice, North Port, and Sarasota.
Completed Electric Installation Projects
Nu-Sons Electric has installed electrical systems in a wide range of commercial settings, including 5- 4-story hotels in Naples and Fort Myers, assisted living facilities 100,000 sq, ft.or larger, banks, several strip mall plazas spanning over 60,000 square feet, as well as numerous restaurants, clubhouses, schools, churches, and industrial settings. Our North Port location has an excellent relationship working at the IMG Academy in Bradenton for over a decade.We’re proud to have built a great reputation with some of the area’s leading contractors, and we are always looking to grow our industry relationships.
